In front of the camera #1: Being in the camera is probably the easiest position to be in. I don't like being on camera usually but I liked answering the questions and it was kind of interesting to watch the finished product.

Behind the Camera:#1:  During these first interviews it was a lot more serious and we tried to cover a lot more of the basic things, where are you from, whats your name, what are your hobbies. This interview was meant to get the more basic details of the person while the second was meant to ask different questions you wouldn't see in the first interview. I liked this interview a lot more because I like it a lot more when I'm interviewing than being in front of the camera. The most difficult part of interviewing was having the think of the questions which made the second one easier as I had already done it once.

Third film was accidentally deleted.

In front of the camera #2: During this interview it was a lot easier to  answer the questions as we had already done it once. This interview went a lot smoother than the first and turned out much better. During this interview I felt a lot more comfortable than the first.

Behind the camera #2: During this interview I think it was filmed very well. It was in focus and followed the rule of thirds. The editing on this interview was easier as it was my second time doing it. Think the finished interview looked really good. The b-roll for this film covered all the skips in-between clips.

Interviewer. #2: During this interview we changed up the questions a little bit. Since we were in the same groups we added questions not asked in the first one.

Documentary Review

Most people may not know what a sneaker head is and if you do know they you most likely like shoes. I happen to love shows and thats why I decided to watch the documentary “Sneakerheadz”. It is a documentary about the behind the scenes of the sneaker industry. It gives you a feel of how to make it in the sneaker industry from the 1990’s all the way up to today. It has multiple “chapters” that it takes you through. For example, it has one called “Back in the day” where it takes you through the sneakers that revolutionized the game in the 90’s. It follows many different players in the sneaker game like Washington D.C. rapper Wale, MLB pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, and one of the biggest sneaker influences in the east Hommyo Hidefumi. They do one on one interviews with shoe designers, shoe “pimps” (people who buy limited shoes for people who can’t get them), and shoe collectors.

I really liked how easy the documentary was to follow. Even if you have no knowledge on sneakers you could easily watch this and still understand everything. They made this entertaining for sneaker lovers and people who just want to watch a good documentary. They have a sneaker glossary in the beginning so people can understand sneaker slang. They made this interesting by really tying it in with pop culture, sports and modern day fashion.

I think this documentary was very interesting and I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys fashion, sneakers, or pop culture. The b-roll really made this movie interesting. They showed b-roll of massive shoe collections with over 2,000 pairs of shoes and showed icons like Run-DMC in their classic adidas’ and Michael Jordan wearing his famous Jordans’. I really like the interviews too because they were very interesting and funny. For example, they were a lot of stories of how the sneaker collectors parents thought they were crazy and wouldn’t support the obsession they had. They also had a lot of examples of the rule of thirds and they used very cool backgrounds like walls of sneakers and sneaker stores. The documentary featured ups and downs of the sneaker game. They showed the struggles of shoe violence with people like Joshua Woods who was killed over a pair of $185 shoes. It showed the ups of the shoe game by showing The Doernbecher Project which is a program where kids in the Doernbecher children's hospital in Portland, Oregon can design their own nikes completely how they want.

I really liked this movie and would honestly recommend it to anyone trying to learn more about the industry of fashion or the influence of pop culture. It does a great job of tying in sports, music, and shoes all together. It shows how famous shoes just started as an idea and just exploded into the fashion  world. It shows how styles differ in places like New York, Paris, and Tokyo. It also does a great job of explaining how the industry has changed throughout the years, for better or worse.  I think anybody could enjoy this, especially someone interested in sneakers.
